low carbon economy
Session two examined how customers and investors are adapting to the low carbon economy. Carl Mortished of the Times opened the session with an overview of the effect that carbon and climate change are having in the wider economy. This was followed by Paul Dickinson, who emphasised the impact of climate change and the growing importance that investors are placing on accurate carbon reporting and effective carbon reduction programmes. Finally Richard Tarboton from BT discussed the value his organisation places on a low carbon footprint, and how this is creating new market forces in the electricity market.
