Session 1: Energy policy

The decade past saw the UK re-examine its relationship with energy. Our energy challenges were assessed through initiatives such as The Energy White Paper, The Energy Review and The Stern Report and action followed as DECC and the CCC were established and the Climate Change Act was passed.
The decade ahead will see activity accelerate to ensure the delivery of secure, affordable, low carbon energy supplies for the country. This session focuses on the implications for businesses of the recently announced Electricity Market Reform which sets the stage for that mobilisation.
